Market trends: World Diabetes 2023

More than 100 million American adults now have diabetes, according to a new report from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The number of diabetics increased from 108 million in 1980 to 422 million in 2018. This is the fastest growing in low-income countries. Diabetes is the leading cause of vision problems, heart attacks, kidney failure and stroke. In 2019, another 2.2 million people died of hyperglycaemia. Almost half of all deaths from hyperglycaemia occur before the age of 70. Does WHO estimate that diabetes will be the seventh leading cause of death in 2025? The popularity of diabetes in all age groups around the world is projected to be 3% for 3,000 people and 5.2% for 2,080 people.
