The largest and capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, is located along the Vltava River in the heart of Bohemia. The metropolis took eleven centuries to acquire its current appearance. It is the main economic and cultural centre of the Czech Republic and one of the most stunning cities in all of Europe. The city has a rich architectural heritage that reflects both the violent Bohemian past and a history of urban life spanning more than a millennium.

There are numerous physical landmarks and attractions in Prague. One of the nicest bridges over the Vltava River is the Charles Bridge (Karlv most). Hradcany (Prague Fortress), a massive castle that overlooks the left bank of the city from behind tall walls.
